Good Evening
I hope I can draw you away from the FIFA World Cup for a few minutes to enjoy some photos from my recent trip to Svalbard in northern Norway. Svalbard is an archipelago that lies halfway between the northern coast of Norway and the North Pole. The main city that you fly into is Longyearbyen at 78°N. We ventured to the pack ice at 82.1°N on an icebreaker. At that time we were the most northerly vessel in the world!
Long story short, it is a land of glaciers, mountains , ice and at this time of year, endless daylight. Spectacular in everyway, it is a trip that will stay alive in my memory for many years to come.
I am early in my editing process but thought I should share some images sooner rather than later.
